The abandoned Lunch Time Drawing. So here is an interesting thing I thought I would share with everyone that watches me on Tumblr. This is a fail. Mistake. Awful start and finish of mine. Basically I wanted to show some more depth of my process and it ended up being a drawing I don’t want to finish.
As you can see there are three layers here. The blue is my initial “Wireframe” drawing. This is to show the pose I am thinking of working with. The next layer is in red. It is my “Rough Drawing” Layer. Here I just focus on adding the ‘meat’ to the pose. The purple layer is the “Refined Sketch” layer. This is where I try to correct anatomy and smooth out lines.
Now I don’t always do this process where I show everything, in fact, I generally tend to do these three steps as just “The Drawing”. By the time I get to the “Refined Drawing” I am pretty confident if its a piece I want to move forward with or not. In this case, I so don’t, lol. She’s got too much mass and not enough of a unique pose. So for this one I’m done.
Fret not, I’ll head home tonight and after dinner try and do another option (not during work at lunch) to catch up on this week’s Lunch Draw.
